Good afternoon how are you all getting along with your new year goals? I am getting there slowly - the good thing is I have kept up so far, so I am probably doing better than last year......

Anyway today is the day I show my WIPocalypse progress - there is a link at the top of page which lists all of the projects I am wanting to complete this year.

This is number 16 on the list - French Washer Girl. I have hardly any time to stitch this week so I have not done nearly as much as I wanted to. I am going to have to pull my socks up to complete the huge list I have!!! This is from yesterday where I managed an hour.

The design is from a french cross stitch magazine called De filen aiguille. I am stitching it in DMC 99 which is a wonderful variegated pink thread. This is what the completed picture will look like

New Year New start

Hello it's been a while since I have been on here. I hope you all have had a happy Christmas and are excited about the new year ahead.

2012 is an exciting year for me I am going to turn 30. I was nervous about this year but I am fully going to embrace it. I have alot of plans for this year and here is where I will be sharing them all with you, so expect a few posts a week from now on!!!

Here are some of the projects I am taking part in this year.

2 - A month in numbers - details Here

3 - 366 things that make me laugh - I have a mini book which I have done and have put it by the side of my bed and each night I am going to write something that has made me laugh that day.

4 - 366 photos/project life - I am taking my own spin on this where I am going to take a photo a day and write bits down each day and then each month I will combine them both to make a double LO. I will not be doing this all hardcore with journalling tags for each day it will just be snippets. I will also not be posting my photos daily as I would not put you all through that ;-)

So there it is, it may sound alot (or not for some people) but it's enough for me to be kept busy and hopefully get me scrapping some more!!

Long time no post

Well it has been an awful long time since I last posted and I am sorry. I damaged my shoulder which took me out for a few weeks and then work has been manic since and now we are at that time of year where it is all go go go until the end of term.

I have been busy here behind the scenes crafting away when I can though. I have a back up of photos to share with you, which I will do over the next few weeks. These are my last few LOs that I have completed.

This is my son Joseph at his school concert. I used scraps from a previous LO and some MM embellishments. The papers are October afternoon.

This next one is my son Jack who is the grumpiest child ever. He had a face like this all because Jake had the spoon he wanted. I wouldn't mind but all of our cutlery is the same!!!! I can't remember which papers I used but the sketch is #123 from The Scrappiest.

I love this next page and it took me ages. I have used some papers I got from a Sarah's Cards grab box. The embellishments are just random ones from the embellishment box. The title was cut out from a Sizzix alphabet and then embossed with a wood grain and then inked up. It is of my son Joseph again when we recently went to a local Forest.

Boy Racer

Evening all. I had crop on Saturday I didn't manage much as I have done something to my right arm/hand- and I can't get an appointment until Friday grrr!!!!! This post will be short as I am having to type with my Left hand!!!

I used the Counterfeit Challenge kit and a sketch from pagemaps. The picture is of my oldest son at Legoland.

May Counterfeit Challenge Kit and add on

May already can you believe it?? Last month I took part in the Counterfeit Challenge and had so much fun. I didn't use all of the kit but I had a good go and I am really pleased with the LOs I produced. I am taking part again this month as it made my scrapping so much easier. I love it it feels as if I have all new stash when actually I just dived in my stash and pulled out things to match lol.

Here is my main kit these are the papers. I have a mixture of Cosmo Cricket, and Crate paper.

These are from the scrap box - October afternoon and Making Memories.

Here are some of the stickers etc. Crate paper, October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket Letters. I have already used some of the stickers but never mind.

Here are the embellishments I have a pot of brads, chipboard stickers, epoxy stickers, journalling cards from last months kit, SU ribbon and SU stamps. I am using the Paper dolls dress up and Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridges.

Here is my add on kit. I went for a summery boyish feel. The papers and die cut sheet are from a Me and My Big Ideas paper pack.

I have a mixture of stamps from SU, Making Memories and Imaginisce.

These are the extras - journalling cards SU ribbon and stamps, chipboard stickers jars of buttons. The punches are from Stampin' Up.

I am very happy with my kit and will be having a play at crop tomorrow.

Morning it's Wednesday again so it means that crafters everywhere are showing us what's on their desks. Here is mine this morning, can you tell I am getting ready for crop? The kit is a Sarah's Cards Kit from a few months back. The notebook is my scrapping bible it has all of my sketches in there, tittle's and quotes I like, card sketches etc. The basket is some cards I have recently completed at the LSS that are waiting to be photographed and blogged. Last of Counterfeit Challenge

Well this is the last of what I made of the counterfeit challenge kit this month. I still had a quite a bit left over but I had a fab time participating and have been very productive. I made 6 Los with the kit. This has been really good as I have completed an extra 5 LOs this month too. Usually I scrap at crop and do do the 2 LOs for my scrapbooking classes and that's it. I will certainly be doing it all again on the 5th!!

Anyway here is the 1st LO. It is the boys and I Mothering Sunday after they had just bought me breakfast in bed.

This next one is myself and Hubby. He annoys me so much but my world wouldn't go round without him. The only photo's we have together are from 'Mess' do's and I love this photo as it was taken by my brother at Legoland.

Thumb Sucker

Phew another week over and wow it's been busy! So did you watch the wedding? Wasn't it wonderful? She looked just like a princess out of a fairytale in that dress. I have to admit I did shed a tear watching it lol but hey I'm always a sucker for a good love story!

Anyway This is a LO I completed last weekend but have not got around to posting. This is my youngest son Jack who sucks his thumb all of the time! The problem is he didn't start until just after his 4th birthday!!

I used the Counterfeit Challenge kit again. The letters are cut out with chipboard on the Big Shot, embossed and then painted.

The Cake

Not the best photo sorry! I have another LO I have completed using my Counterfeit Challenge kit. The story behind the photo is that I always make my children's birthday cake and whilst this one was on the rack cooling ready to be iced, my youngest son Jack came along and ate half of it!! That's why the decoration is a bit of a hodge podge lol.

Sorry for the short post today I am looking after oldest child as 1st day back at school and I have a poorly one- typical!

Nan and her boys

Morning all I am shattered today, we had another day out yesterday to Legoland and didn't get home until late. Anyway all of the housework done and the boys are occupied and as we have done so much these holidays I am taking the rest of the day off - well until dinner needs doing obviously! Here is a LO I completed at crop. My nan passed away last year and this is the first page I have done of her since. It was extremely difficult with the journalling as I had to describe her in a past tense which was strange. This is her with two of my sons and my cousin Jamie.

The papers are Tilda Lavender. I thought the went perfect with the photo. The background is paper strips and ribbon layered up. The flourish and the flower were cut on the Cricut.

Just Girls

A few weeks ago I went on a weekend away with my girlfriends to London. We didn't go shopping just sight seeing, we were tourists in our own Capital City. Obviously when going to London sight seeing the one place you go is Buckingham Palace, most of the statues were covered up for maintenance as apparently there is a wedding or something going on this month?????? The picture is of us girls on the steps of the Victoria Memorial. We were all laughing because Kelly had made a comment about the bloke running off with my camera!

Everything is from the Counterfeit Challenge kit. The flower was cut out on the Big Shot.

I never ever do close ups of my LO's and I have to say it is one of my bug bears but I just wanted to show you what I have done here. I wanted a strip of paper here but did not have one the same colour. So I used extra wide sticky tape - the red one - and added flock to it. It came out the perfect colour and added much needed texture to the LO.

I'm a little snowman

Morning I hope you are having a good start to the weekend. As I have said I am in a scrapping mood lately and this is a LO I completed last week. It is of my youngest son Jack in his last pre school Christmas performance. Jack was a snowman in a padded suit and had to sing I'm a little snowman short and fat.

The papers I have used are My Minds Eye - I think. The snowman and letters were cut on the cricut and then run through the big shot with the Swiss dots embossing folder.

Counterfeit Challenge LO #1

Good afternoon all if you saw WOYWW yesterday you would have had a sneak peak of this LO as I was right in the middle of it. Well here it is all of the products were from the Counterfeit Challenge kit. The brown wing and leaf in the top left hand corner are the other side of the paper. I handmade the flower just by cutting two circles, distressing them and then adding a brad. The LO is my first Son Jake having his photo taken by the hospital photographer. The only thing I am not happy with is I have done the journalling in pencil as I couldn't find the right colour pen so I will have to come back to that.

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well. It has been an age since I have participated with WOYWW from this blog I usually do it from my SU one. Anyway my desk is a bit messy and busy this morning. It's not messy in a bad way though as I am in the middle of a LO. I am doing a LO of my son using my Counterfeit Challenge Kit and you can see that I am colouring my chipboard letters. You can see the LO on my glass cutting mat on the left hand side. The purse is in the window as I needed to buy ink cartridges last night - typical I get in the scrapping mood and the printer runs out of ink. Oh and don't get me started on buying my ink from Tesco that's a whole other bloody post lol!!!! Anyway I think that's it any questions just shout.

Counterfeit Kit

Be warned this is very photo heavy. I have been following the http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/ for a while and I love it. This is my first time at the challenge and have spent a few hours going through my stash making up the kit.

Here is my card stock there is a range of American Crafts, Stampin' Up, Bazzil and co-ordinations.

Here are my papers I have quite a selection as you can see. I have selected Making Memories, Rusty Pickle, Scenic Route, Tilda, Basic Grey, K&co, Li'l Davis Designs, Urban Lily, 3 bugs in a rug, and Fancy Pants.

I also pulled these scraps from the scrap box.

This is a selection of ribbons, lace, felt, Aida, glitter and flock.

This is some of the embellishments I have got a sheet of Chipboard shapes from Basic Grey Two Scoops.Fancy pants rub ons a selection of journalling notes from Making Memories and October Afternoon. The Kraft coloured hournalling pieces are made from Stampin' Up Crumb Cake card stock with various stamps I had and ones I borrowed from Kelly. In the kit there was a branch and some birds. I cut these out using SU card stock and Make The Cut on my Cricut. The leaves are from Sizzix Little Leaves sizzlit. The transparency and white tickets are from an old Sarah's Cards kit.

Here is a selection of buttons, brads, pins, flowers, bottle caps and chipboard. The tags are actually chipboard Christmas ones but I am using the other side.

The kit included chipboard alphas but I am going to cut my own using Sizzix Block Party dies as I can just cut out what I need. I will also be using the Stampin' Up bird punch and the exclusive Beautiful Wings embosslits which cuts and embosses at the same time.

Well if your still with me you deserve a medal lol. I am so excited to use this kit now I feel as if I have had a stash delivery when actually it was all here already and it cost me nothing!!

Crop

Good morning. I went to my monthly crop on Saturday - Ludgreshall Crop and had a fab day cropping, eating, chatting and more eating. I have been in a bit of a slump when it comes to scrapping lately, only scrapping at crops or for my scrapbooking class but I don't know what happened on Saturday but I am all fired up again to get scrapbooking. I have even done two LOs at home since!!!

Here is two LOs I did at crop. This first one is of me when I was about 2. I have had these papers in my stash for 4 years they are by Pink Martini. I bought them at the Newbury show specifically for this picture. I just had to rummage through all of my mums tins of photos to get it.

This next sketch is of my youngest son Jack playing with a toy camera which was free on a children's magazine. The papers are We R Memory Keepers and the embellishments are from Making Memories. The stars are from the SU punch and the letters cut out with my Cricut.

Well I haven't blogged here for over 3 weeks sorry. I have such plans for this blog too- I will get there don't worry. I won't bore you with how busy life has been with working, hospital appointments etc but lets just say I am back. No I do not have the time to post daily but there will be at least one a week. Anyway I have been crafting away and here is one of my recent LO's. It's my hubby in his sexy army uniform.

I used Basic Grey papers but am not sure which ones sorry.

Menu Board

I hope you have all had a nice half term if you have had the week off. I have something slightly different to show you today. I wanted a menu board for the kitchen on a really small budget. I bought a cheap clip frame A4 size from ASDA 68p I think and just slipped some paper behind. I used some papers I already had in my stash papermania I think. Sorry for the really crap photos. Any help on how to photograph glass?

I used the SU heart punch for the hearts and the letters were cut on my Expression.

What a horrible grey day it is here today. It's one of those days when I just want to curl under the duvet. Unfortunately that is not going to happen with 3 boys to entertain.

I have another LO here to share with you. This is of my 2 youngest boys in London. We were walking up the Embankment and they spotted him and were in complete awe.

The papers I used are Rusty Pickle - I think. I have some hidden journalling on a tag which is just about the boys reaction. The silver skulls are charms which I found on Ebay.

I do apologise to all of you that have emailed me asking if I am okay - Thank you x I am fine it's just the weeks seem to be running away at the moment, no specific reason but I am full of great plans for blogging on a Monday and before I know it it's Sunday again and I haven't posted at all. Anyway my LO's This first one is my DS3 who started school on January 10th, it was heartbreaking watching my youngest start school :-( I used October afternoon papers and embellishments. Hello all I hope you are okay. I am so sorry for not posting or visiting any blogs things have been rather busy here. My youngest has started school sob sob and I have been getting my SU business off the ground. I haven't quite got the balance right yet but am trying to make more time to craft for me. During the next week this blog will have some changes. As you can see I have already given it a makeover but will be adding other things. I will be posting my favourite recipes, sewing projects and some bits I have made for the house. There is so many crafts I want to try and I will be sharing them here. I will obviously be doing a lot of scrapbooking/cards on here too. A boys card

One of things this year is to be more organised. For someone who crafts I run out of cards an awful lot, does that happen to anyone else? I have realised I send more cards to boys than I do girls, so it's all well and good making pink and flowery cards but the 9 year old boy at school really doesn't want a forever friends card know what I mean? Anyway I have been making up boys cards so when the boys tell me at 8.30 in the morning I need a card for Joe Bloggs at school I can be the domestic goddess and just go oh just go in the card draw and pick one - good aren't I? The card I made is using a free stamp off one other magazines around this month, coloured with copics (check me out). I used old Basic Grey Boxer and buttons with chipboard. A quick card

Back in December it was a friends daughters birthday. I didn't have the time to spend ages on a card so out came the Forever Friends decoupage. I used papermania papers with it and I think it worked out really well. Teachers gifts

Well I know this is a bit late but I thought I would show you what I made the boys teachers for Christmas. I made them some peppermint bark which is so scrummy I had to make some more for me lol. I also made them some chocolate lolly's with cashew nuts and dried cranberries which I saw on Barefoot Contessa - love that programme. I decorated some plain paper bags with a retired Stampin Up stamp using Real Red ink pad. The cards are the same as the ones I made before using scraps of paper. The teachers were so pleased and it worked out so much cheaper. Sorry for the quick post I am supervising hubby whilst he is building some furniture for the Craft room. The room is chaos but the rest of the furniture gets delivered on Friday so I am spending the weekend getting it how I want it. I can't wait to show you all photos of how I have organised it all. New Year

Happy New Year to you all did you have a good night? We had a wonderful night here with friends but after they left and we all got into bed I was woken by my 4 yr old sobbing with a poorly ear, so I spent the night cuddling him on the sofa. He seems better now which is good as I really don't like to see him upset. So then do you have any new year resolutions? I have a few this year give up smoking (patches bought and ready to start tomorrow), loose weight, pass my driving test, and the big one is to do something that makes me happy everyday whether it's baking, stitching, a soak in the bath in the middle of the day lol. I have a lot to share with you on this blog this year. My craft room is having a massive overhaul and being completely reorganised so I will be sharing my ideas with you. I am aiming to complete a mini book a month - a lady on UKS is running this. I am taking part in a few cooking challenges which I will put on here. I have quite a few stitched items I am hoping to complete this year. I am also hoping to learn how to use my sewing machine properly so hopefully I will have some items I can share too. One thing I am doing is going on a stash diet. I have far to much stuff and some of it I have kept for so long because I didn't want to cut into it, I am starting to go off it... So this is the year it will get used. I hope you all have a happy and healthy start to the new year Laura xx

48 tags!!

Yesterday on WOYWW i had a few comments about me doing 48 tags. Let me explain they are not big - 2 1/2 inches - and very basic. They were cut out on the cricut and then stamped with 'for you' and a mini Christmas tree was glued on. They are for a friend who gives out jams and chutneys as gifts and she wanted a small tag to tie around the jar with some string. Here they are The other questions I got was the gentlemen I use as my screen saver, he is called Alexander Skarsgard - Eric in True Blood. He is pure beauty don't ya think? I was never interested in True blood at all but Kelly kept on and on about it and she lent me the 1st 3 books when Joe was in hospital and I was hooked - it's well worth a read and the series is great..BUT it is classed as an 18 for a reason and my hubby actually asked me if I was watching soft porn!!! Anyway just a short post from me today as I am busy making teachers gifts and cards. Will post their gifts tomorrow. Laura x

Happy Wednesday all are you getting excited for next week? The boys especially Joe can hardly sit down with excitement!! Well here is my workdesk today. The stamp is for some last minute cards which I am going to totally case from Julia as she used the same stamp at the card marathon - hope you don't mind Julia x The rest is just odds and sods the SU inkpad and the green paper with trees cut out were for 48 tags I made for a friend last night. The diary is for bookings. In the right corner the wallet is my Dec daily project. The dog tags are from Project 65 a new soldiers charity for fallen heroes. The black book with hearts on is actually a coupon book which is featuring in my valentines class. That's about it really any questions just shout. Now on to my winners. Sorry I didn't do it last week this have been MANIC here with school plays, fetes, discos, coffee with friends lol. I was slightly nervous of putting Kelly's name down as many of you know that we are best friends but it was my 4 yr old who pulled the name out of the bowl so it was all done completely fair. First Love

Good morning everyone hows the weather? It's melted here so everything is back to normal. I did a LO over the weekend of my son and his girlfriend. Now I have to tell you he is 6 and she is 5 but they adore each other. On Saturday after Joe had a tantrum over me deleting a programme and accused me of ruining his life, his dad asked him if his life was really ruined he said no as he still had Ella!!! Now they only see each other about every 6 months as she lives the other side of the country but they have already chosen baby names!! I have been told they are having twins George and Molly and then another baby called Joella. I love it the innocence is so sweet. I have to say this LO really made me realise why I scrapped in the first place to record their memories. I want my boys to remember the conversations they had with their first girlfriends aged 6. I had the urge to scrap in pink which is such a rarity with having 3 boys. I used Basic Grey Bittersweet. Which has to be my favourite BG range. Have a good day and thanks for looking. Laura x

Well it's Wednesday again and it's the 1st December!!!!! On my desk today I have the cover of my December daily. I have decided to go rather traditional this year and am using a mixture of papers. I won't be showing the pictures daily but will try and do a weekly post just for the daily. It's snowing!!!!

Finally we have snow here. It's only fine and has not come to anything though :-( I really would like a huge dump of it so we can stay in for the rest of the week. Maybe a snow dance is in order.... bells are you ready?.............. Anyway thank you so much for the comments on the wreath. I was asked a few questions so I thought I would answer them here. Sorry I don't have a tutorial I bought a polystyrene wreath from hobbycraft about 9 inches. (it's flat on the back) for about £1.50 I think. All i did was cut 4 12 x 12 double sided papers into 1/2 inch strips and then in half to 6 inches. I then curled the strips around a felt tip pen and stuck them on the wreath base with extra tacky (the red one) tape. I stuck them so they go in different directions. With the ribbon I stuck that on and then the paper strips over the top. It is quite time consuming but it took about 2 episodes of Greys Anatomy online and 1 episode of Glee - sorry that's how I time things lol. Hope that helps any questions give me a shout. Anyway I thought I would show you some quick and easy Christmas cards. I had some scraps of this Basic Grey paper so instead of it getting thrown in the scrap drawer never to be seen again I used it straight away - I am so good I know......... Sorry I haven't blogged for a while it's been a bit busy here. I have so much I want to do but not enough hours to do it all in anyone else get the same? We are putting the Christmas tree up today so I thought I would share one of the decorations I have made with you. This is for my living room door. I have seen loads of these around blogland but I thought they took too much paper. They actually only take 4 pieces of double sided. I used an old stampin up paper pack that I bought last year which has now retired. All I did was cut the paper into half an inch strips and then into 6 inch pieces. Curled them around a pen and stuck them on. What do you think? take care Laura xx

The boys have a birthday party tomorrow, it's the little girl next door. When speaking to her mum she mentioned she was going to decorate her room in a Cath Kidston style - all shabby chic, pink and girly. She asked if I could make her something for her new room. Well this is what I came up with - a look what I made board what do you think? I used Papermania Blueberry Hill paper pack as it seemed to have the shabby chic style. It made such a nice change to be playing with pink instead of the usual boy colours. Laura xx

Hi there guys I hope you are all well x Thank you so much for my WOYWW comments I am trying to get around to you, so I apologise if I haven't yet but I will soon. Anyway on to other things. I have had the BEST day ever. Julia from WOYWW and Ally are 2 scrap ladies and today was their card marathon. It was based here in Tidworth in the community centre which was perfect as just down the hill from me :-) I went with Kelly from Caesar Crafts and we had the most amazing time. I learnt so many new things - alcohol inks, nesties, glimmer mists, how to tie a bow lol. There were 34 cards (I think) to complete and I managed 22. I have bought some more home to finish too. I have to say that maybe I would of completed them all if I hadn't spent most of my time eating cake!!!!!! Oh and the food was outstanding. Lunch lady Jan who if you have read Julia's blog you would have heard about already, spent the whole day slaving in the kitchen so we could have cakes, drinks etc when we wanted them. Lunch was brill and I was stuffed afterwards so I only had one slice of cake for pudding........... One pic with flash on and one off - sorry about bad piccies. There was talk about them having a summer marathon too so if you are close by I urge you to sign up as it's a great day. I have had the most amazing time spending the day crafting side by side with my best friend making some fabulous cards. Well it's Wednesday again so that can only mean one thing WOYWW. Here is my desk today. It's extremely messy, But I am in the middle of making a few boxes so everything on there is for a reason - apart from the lollipops which are there for the boys obviously.......... I have 6 boxes to make so am going to try and get them finished today and then hopefully I will be back to a tidy desk. No promises though. Some stitching

Well good morning guys hope you are all well. I have a desk full of stuff but nothing I can show you yet - give me a few days and all will be revealed. As the nights get darker and colder I have my stitching back on a hoop in the living room and this is what I have stitched this last week. The fabric behind the designs is what I have used as the backing. The blue check is my sons old Junior J pyjamas that I couldn't part with. This is January and February designs. I have the whole twelve months to do so am hoping to have them all displayed in a basket. I have managed a few LOs this weekend too so I will post them up this week too. Enjoy your day Laura x

Good morning everyone I hope you are having better weather than us here, it's rain and wind today. I am early doing my desk this week as I have to take ds2 to the hospital at 3.40 so we are going straight after the school run and going shopping first. Here is my desk as I left it last night. My copics in their basket, twine, orange box I have made ready for sprucing up. The boo sign was in my last post and the card will be posted tomorrow. The red book well that's what I live by, it has the list of things I need to make for the rest of the year now. I have quite a few orders in as Christmas is coming so I need to keep myself organised. The choccies are for gift bags for the Halloween party (shhh I have had a few). Well guys that's it for me today. When I get back tonight I will start visiting you all. Firstly let me please apologise for the terrible picture, my camera died just after I took this so I couldn't take anymore. Over on two peas in a bucket they are having a Halloween month. They will be posting a new project daily and it started today. The one on there is stunning mine is a cheap imitation but I am pleased with the outcome. I have used all Imaginisce papers and stamps. I am going to hang this in the kitchen. I am having a small Halloween party and Kelly (Caesar crafts) and I are making up lots of Halloween goodies for the children. We have many ideas on food so I will make sure after the party I will do a post. Well I am off to catch up on sleep as we had a very busy girls weekend away and am now shattered. Laura x

Hi there guys hope you are all well. I hope the weather is better where you are today as it's wet and horrible here. I haven't blogged for ages as had a rather busy summer, computer broken and ds2 having spinal surgery. But all is well now so am hoping to get back into it. I have rather a lot of pictures to show you today of the craft room. I have changed it round and added new furniture. This is the view as you walk through the door. I need to change the curtains as they are Thomas the Tank and I have a few shelves to put up on the wall. This is my dresser that used to be in my kitchen. In the cupboards that you can't see I have chipboard embellishments and magazines. On the top here I have jars full of buttons and large flowers. I also keep my albums, cricut cartridges and other bits. This is the bottom half of a unit I moved up here the other day. It used to be in the living room then the bedroom and is now here - I like to recycle lol. This is just paper and a basket full of punches. Here is the top half of the unit where my cuttlebug sits and also my sons cuttlekids. The top shelf is projects I have done at classes at the local craft shop ( I am also teaching a class on the 20th November, more details to follow in a later post). The lilac box is a box I made and cross stitched the top, it's where I keep my finished stitching ready to be framed or made in to something. This is the overall view of the unit. It does have glass doors but I took them off as I cant attach the unit to the wall as I need to get behind it for plug sockets and the doors are to heavy. This is my chest of drawers that I have primed but not got around to painting........ It's full of fabric for sewing projects that I have not got around to making........ - do you see a pattern here? On top of here I just keep ribbon boxes, embossing powders etc. These are our plastic drawers the large one is mine which I keep stamps in apart from the bottom drawer which is flowers. The smaller unit is my boys as this is there craft room too. This basket on top of my wooden unit is what I got on Friday from the local charity shop for £2.50. I love baskets and this one is too small for my washing as you can imagine how much I do with 3 boys lol. I have filled this with bits ready fr altering. The clarks shoe box is ready for altering and is destined to become my photo box. I have organised everything how I want it and have made a few projects this weekend and is working really well now everything has a place. I have just realised I haven't actually showed you my desk sorry but don't worry there is nothing actually on it today anyway. Well it's been a while since I did this so I thought today I would play along. I have moved into my own craft room now which is working really well, I need to change curtains and tweak a few things but on the whole it's fab. I ventured into the craft room last night and actually crafted which I haven't done since the last crop!!!!! Gift for MIL

Well I haven't been on here for so long I need to blow the cobwebs away. I have had no Internet as I kinda changed the house around a bit.... I now have my own craft room and I love it!!! I haven't spent as much time as I would have liked in here but yesterday I spent most of the day in here. Hubby was watching the rugby and then the football so the boys and I were in here playing. It's my mother in laws birthday in July and she is the most difficult person to buy for as she's not really into anything if you know what I mean, so I made her a gift yesterday. This stationary set is a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers and is very easy to make I will certainly be making some more for Christmas gifts. Here is the box. I used Making Memories noteworthy papers I think.... This is how it is with the lid off. This is the address book, pen holder and the other pocket is for stamps. I made some cards, thank yo u notes and some gift tags too put in. So there it is I really like it and am hoping she will too. I have to say I was feeling a little sickly at the end working with all that pink lol I am used to boys!!! I have a million blog posts to catch up on so after lunch I am going on a huge blog hop to see what you have all been creating. Take care Laura x

Well firstly let me apologise for not being around lately. I have a million blogs to catch up on so I am sorry I haven't visited you. Things have been stressful here Nan has been very poorly and at one point we were told to prepare for the worst but fingers crossed the hospital are letting her home this week. So what do I do when I am stressed apart from eat? Stitch. I can't show you what though as it's a surprise for someone sorry. I never papercraft when things are on my mind I don't know why. I have done a card but that's it. When I polished this morning the cricut had loads of dust on it!!!!! Anyway I thought I would share with you what my production line was last time I blogged. I have made all of my teachers gifts for end of term. Early I know but I had no inspiration to scrap and I wanted to play with paper. Jake made the paperclips and decorated the bags and post it note holders. I just cut everything out and scored the card. These are the paper clips. The papers used are Papermania Rose garden. This is the post it note holders.

And here in full glory is the 9 completed bags. The instructions for the bags are on splitcoast. They are very simple to make.

I really enjoyed this project and it was great doing it with Jake. But the best bit was using up scraps from the drawer.

Well here we are with my desk you nearly didn't get to see it as I thought it was Tuesday!!! I haven't done any crafting since the crop on Saturday but in a mad moment I have started a new project and this is how my desk now looks. How can it get like this so quickly??

As you can see there is a mixture of paper strips, stamps, extra strong tape, punches inks the list goes on and on. I can't show you what I am making yet but all I can tell you is I have a production line going and I'm doing alot of gluing, scoring and cutting. Thank you all for your comments on my stitching. You will certainly be seeing a lot more as I do more stitching than paper crafts. Meet Jack he is my youngest child and is sooooo miserable. I don't know if you can read the journalling but it just explains how grumpy he is and how much he whines. It also says that he makes me laugh so much because of this.

The weather has changed here today so it's grey and horrible so I am going to comfort myself with an afternoon in the kitchen baking. Have a great day.

Hello again I can't believe it's nearly the end of April!!! The girls and I were yesterday saying in 6 months we will be waiting for payday to but the Christmas food shopping how mad is that!!! Anyway while I am on the subject of Christmas I have completed a Christmas ornament. I finished it a few weeks ago but had it on my desk today to email a photo to a friend. This is cross stitch and is a Lizzie * Kate design. I love cross stitch and I have to say I never show my stitching on here even though I do loads of it I don't know why. Would you like to see more?

On the paper craft front I am getting things ready for the crop. I start early as I am really anal about planning for it. I like to have my sketch, papers, photos, embellishments, title cut out if needed etc. I usually take about 6 - 8 page kits with me but only manage about 3, maybe I should stop talking so much.......

Cybercropping

Did you all take part in the cybercrop on UKScrappers then? I didn't, Saturday we were out and Sunday was doing the usual of ironing uniforms etc. When I sat down Sunday evening I had a look though. I was really impressed with the classes and am going to do a few at the Ludgershall Crop on Saturday. I did get two completed which I love. The first one is The Strand by Sarahy. I loved this it is so not my usual style and took me so out of my comfort zone with the inking, distressing and stitching it was fab. I can see me doing a lot more of this style in the future. The LO is Jake trying to make money in the garden by selling lemonade and cake to his brothers. I used K&co papers (surprise surprise). This next LO is Mayfair by craftypants. I love the sketch of this one. I didn't use paint on mine but if you look over at UKscrappers and look at craftypants LO it's stunning. This is my son Joe being a cool dude. The flowers are handmade and the flourishes are cut out with Make The Cut.

I have managed a few other LOs this past week so I will be sharing them with you this week too.

Christmas cards and a LO

Hello all I hope you are enjoying the glorious weather. I have had a relaxing day pottering in the garden. Continuing the challenges that I have completed over at http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com/ the challenge was for 5 cards using pastels. I have used the My Minds Eye pad (I had a lump in my throat as I was cutting it lol) and the cricut for the snowman.

Here is a close up of the card. I embossed the snowman with the cuttlebug and coloured in his nose with an ink pad. I love these cards and am going to make some more as my Christmas cards this year. I feel very organised to have some cards made already!!!!

This LO is of my son Jake who was 8 last week. I have had the idea for this LO in my head for ages. It is very simple but it's exactly what I wanted it to be. Please excuse his handwriting he has to have extra help for it and is really trying. You can enlarge the picture to read his answers. I love the fact he says he's scared of nothing - until there's a spider in the bath or a bee flying by lol.

Well for the rest of the evening I will be watching the new Dr Who and the Britain's Got Talent whilst playing with Make The Cut which hubby bought me for Easter.

Wow it's Friday already and the kids are back to school on Monday where have the last 2 weeks gone? I have had a lovely day here today baking - baguettes and a chocolate orange jaffa cake it was scrummy!!! Here is a card I made this week. WOYWDW - prepare for photo overload!!!

Happy Wednesday all I hope you are all well. We have had a busy time here planting veg, tidying up the garden, visiting family etc so there has not been much crafting going on. I have managed a few cards today though. Well for WOYWDW I can't really show you my desk as this little man is occupying it... Meet Jake he decided that he was going to craft this afternoon so I got kicked out of my space lol. So if you don't mind I am going to give you a tour of my space which makes me chuckle as it's only behind the sofa lol Here is my bedside table (freecycle) which holds my scraps of paper, A4, punches and mat stacks. The 12 by 12 boxes are chipboard alphas, alphas, die cuts and spare cards. The tall box holds distress inks, journalling cards and cellophane slips for cards. On top is my bind it all, Xyron and a tub of metal letters. Obviously you can see the cuttlebug and the boxes are my cricut cartridges. The draws hold glue, stamps and flowers. If you remember I said I wanted some shelves in my cupboard well hubby did them for me and this is the end result. I think everything is self explanatory if you have any questions just ask. All pictures are clickable.

This is the right hand side of the cupboard the CK bag full of Xmas goodies. The shelves (freecycle) hold maya road tins, ribbons, buttons and a few of my 6x6.

This is the big unit in my living room which I have taken over. This holds all of my kits, albums, and beer coasters ( I have hundreds).

This is a cupboard next to my room. I have two boxes of items ready to be altered and it's where I keep the magazines. I would shoe you but it also doubles up as the laundry cupboard and I think somethings breeding in there as it keeps growing - hence why I have made everyone stay in their 'jamas today.

Finally a post!!!

Yes I am alive thank you for the emails asking if I was okay. To be honest it was just a case of life getting in the way. I have had such a busy couple of weeks here at home. I gave up smoking 3 weeks ago which to be honest left me not wanting to speak to anyone even those on the Internet lol but all is okay now I am over the cravings!!! I have been making all of my own bread this last month too which has been wonderful does anyone else do this? I have also done an awful lot of stitching as I needed to keep my hands occupied lol. Would you like me to show some stitching? Anyway here is a LO I did last night. This is from a kit from crafty templates. I won the December card challenge on UKS and the kit was my prize. I have never scrapped in a circle before but I loved it and this certainly won't be the last time. I like the fact that it shakes it up in the album if you know what I mean. Also just want to say Birthday to my son Jake who is 8 today!!! We have just finished the party and everyone is having a hours chill before we start building the warehouse of Lego that he's been bought!!! Hope your all enjoying the weather!!! Take care Laura xx

Well it's Wednesday again so that means it's time for us all to show our creative spaces. I haven't managed to get all I wanted to be done this week but am getting there. As you will see underneath my desk is a bit boring today so I thought I would show you the cupboard above that's behind me when I sit at my desk. It needs some shelves putting up so I can move most of the stuff that sits outside the cupboard in. The basket at the front is where I keep my completed cards, The blue box is embellishments, The Christmas bag keeps Christmas craft things (original hey) and the box at the back is kits. I could put alot more in here but then I have to rifle through things which just bugs me. So I am putting shelves up. My desk is rather boring today I am in the middle of a mini book of the boys (have yet to add photos). I am making some birthday cards this afternoon that's why the cartridges are on the desk. I really need to stop doodling on my mat though......

Thank you so much for your comments on my desk. I have to say it is all clean and tidy now, I wonder how long that will last?? I haven't used those papers yet they have been put away for another project I am doing. Here are the LOs I completed on Saturday at the Ludgershall crop. This is my son Jack sorry I couldn't get a good photo. It's about a bruise he had when we went on holiday. If you click on the photo you should be able to read the journalling.

This is my other two children with their cousin George. This is my mum and I on my wedding day.

I am in the process of writing a list. Two friends and I are making a mini book each on our 'list' you know the top 10 blokes you would........... I am having serious trouble just trying to get the list down to 10 lol.

It's been a while sorry life gets in the way unfortunately. Well here is my desk in all it's glory........ I have remains from the DCM card challenge, a LO in progress and some journalling. At the crop on Saturday Julia really made me think about journalling. She said ' if you have to stand behind someone when they are going through your album and explain the photos you know your not doing enough journalling' - well something like that anyway. It has really made me look at my work. In my earlier albums I did alot more journalling so that is my mission from now on to write more. (don't expect the next few posts to have any though as they have already been done). Anyway my desk...

Snow LO and swine flu

Well it's been a busy week here and I had a post planned for every day but life got in the way. My ds 3 jack has had swine flu and has hardly slept this week so I have been walking round with my head up my arse not even knowing which day it is lol I was sure yesterday was Friday?!?!? Anyway thank you for all of the lovely coments on my Valentines LO. Here is another LO I did at the crop it was a challenge set by Julia (stampin ground) it was to use Christmas photos and use this sketch which I am pretty sure in saying it's a Basic Grey one. I didn't use Christmas photos I did snow ones (obviously) from the snow in January.

Sorry can't remeber the papers I used but the lettering is Basic Grey, chipbard cosmo cricket and the snowflakes were cut out on the cutttlebug.

Here are some basic cards I have made to build my stash of cards up. This pink one is stamped (it's getting addictive Julia) using a papermania stamp that was free on one of their magazines.This one is using a autumn leaves stamp I think.

Have managed quite a bit of crafting later so have loads to share with you over the next few days.

Hi there remember me? It's been a while hasn't it! Well I packed it all away for Christmas as hubby made me tidy it all up sob*sob. Anyway would you like to see what I have made? A card box. I got the instructions from Splitcoast and I have to say it was simple to do. I have used basic white card and Claire Curd paper.

I used a magnetic snap for the closure. It really is simple to do but gives a fab result.

On a Tuesday night some friends and I get together to craft learning a new craft each week - I still can't work the crochet thing out Becky!!! - I did this with the girls and most of them had never paper crafted and they made one of these and they were beautiful.

Following on from last weeks post about how I have moved into the living room on a whole I keep it neat and tidy but I did have a bit of a blip at one point when I had a few cards to make and a mini book. I think the photos can do the talking lol!!!

A bit different

Please excuse the bad photo this was taken at night. I have seen these wreaths all over blogland and I love them so I had a go myself what do you think? I had a wreath anyway so I just glued all of the baubles on with a hot glue gun. It's bigger than I imagined but I love it. As I seem to be the only parent in my children's schools who hasn't put any decorations yet this will be going up today with the rest of the stuff. Take care Laura x

Kind of a whats on your workdesk Wednesday

Well as you can see I have the blog name Airing Cupboard crafts that is because my craft room used to be in an airing cupboard. Strange I know but the army accommodation that I live in has the biggest airing cupboard I have ever seen - well apart from next doors obviously!!! Here a some pictures of how messy an un organised it was. This was one of the shelves the large RUB box is my scraps. Boxes are kits and yellow basket was projects I was working on.

This bookcase was built by my uncle 40 years ago!! This sat on top of the boys old changing table. Obviously the items are self explanatory.

This shelf was for paper. I love paper it is my biggest weakness.

This was my desk well my old kitchen table. The pictures on the wall are what my 7 yr old made me when first took over this room. Ignore the matches they are for the matchbox advent calender that I still haven't got round to making.....

What I didn't show you was the TV unit under the table, the shelves under the changing table and the shelves on the wall. I loved this room as it was mine but it was hot and dark. Also it was unsociable. I didn't really have room to do much and had far to much stuff. I started to come downstairs to the living room to craft more and decided that I would move my craft room down there. I have no room for the furniture but have found space for everything and donated loads as a lot of the stuff I had was stuff I bought when I first started and no longer liked.

Obviously you can see how messy the room used to be and now as I am in the living room I am alot tidier. I will show pics of my new space next week.

Here are two cards I made for friends little girls for their birthdays. This is a forever friends decoupage which was quickly put together.

This one was papermania stamps and the lettering cut out from my cuttlebug. Haven't had time to blog hop this week so I do apologise hopefully by the end of this week I will be caught up.

Christmas Crafting

Well it's been a while since I last posted I do apologise. Things have been busy here so I haven't really had time to get on the computer. I have taken loads of photos though so expect a few posts over the next few days. I found this frame in the local charity shop for a £1 and loved it as it was flat so I knew it wouldn't be that hard to alter.

I used some Bo Bunny paper and modge podge it on. Added a piece of Bazzil and some K&co sticker to spell out JOY. I am going to put a picture of the boys last Christmas in it.

I am looking forward to getting it out at Christmas.

I am sorry I haven't visited any ones blogs the last few weeks but I will hopefully have a good blop around this week.

Well hubby has been back at work a week and things are back to normal :-( I have still been doing lots of crafting but none is finished though - I really should just stick to one project at a time. I have made some advent coasters though. These have been on so many blogs so they are certainly not my idea. I made these for my boys to go in their rooms. I am going to add a post it pad with the numbers on.

Well I will have loads to show you when it's all completed..........

Sorting through my stash yesterday I realised I have an awful lot of K&co paper. I don't buy embellishments or anything but I have enough paper pads to open a shop. One of my favourite collections is Amy Butler - I love her fabrics too and am buying a few fat quarters here and there to maybe one day make a quilt!!! I have framed Amy Butler paper on my bedroom wall and I have to say I have been asked where I got the framed art on my wall from lol! Whilst browsing the web last night I landed on the papertake weekly challenge blog. I liked the sketch so I had a go what do you think? Obviously using K&co Amy Butler lol. Have a great Wednesday I will not be doing woywdw this week as am having a HUGE sort out. Laura x

Whitespace

I struggle with whitespace. I feel it looks like I have put no effort into it. I admire other peoples pages they seem to make it look amazing. It's like 'the get out of bed look' that supermodels and celebrities manage to pull off effortless and look amazing. Me well the overweight, frizzy haired, smudged make up.... not quite the same is it.

I have an awful lot of pink in my stash. I like pink but as I am mainly scrapping about my 3 boys I don't use it that often. Well I did this LO using a sketch by twisted sketches and because I am in the picture I got to use pink. I think it still looks bare but it's been put in the album and I don't alter them when they are in there so this is how it's staying.

Hubby is back at work tomorrow so less crafting time for me but am hoping to still do a bit each night as I am in the swing of things now. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Mums Gifts

Last week on WOYWDW I had a tone of Blue awning on there. well this is what it was all for. This is a tag book I made with a poem about mothers. I saw this idea somewhere else on line but I can't work out where sorry. This is a box I made for it to go in the box was so easy to make as I have just bought a score-pal and they are amazing. The instructions for this box is on splitcoast stampers. Excuse the mess of the kitchen mum is in the process of having a new kitchen fitted.

Here is the card I made using my Cricut. I spent some time reading the instruction book and we are now friends and it's doing what I want it to do with out me screaming!!!!

Mum was so pleased with her gifts which is what I was nervous about. As for me I never want to see Blue Awning again!!!

Scrapping

This is a Lo of my oldest and youngest boys. The sketch is from 52 sketches 52 weeks. I'm not to sure if I like it or not though, I think it's the colours.

To answer your question Julia, Jase is off work. He has a few days off and just wanted to chill so after housework and boys in school and nursery the afternoons are mine so he has his playstation and I have my paper lol!!! Next week I will be back normal and will probably be doing a card a week. I have to say though that my mojo is back with a vengeance and have crafted everyday for the last 2 weeks which is very unusual for me but I'm loving it.

I will be back later for WOYWDW. Housework to do now :-(

I couldn't go to my crop today as we had the privilege of MIL!!! I sulked and stamped my feet but no I had to stay and put a smile on my face and be the perfect hostess lol As I wasn't going I did a quick LO this morning. It is from a K & co kit and took me all of 15 minutes but I like the end result.

This is the 1st photo I have scrapped from our wedding 7 years ago - only another 200 to go lol!!!

I am entering this in the Papertake Weekly Challenge as this weeks theme is black and white.

Okay I have a confession to make....... Hubby bought me a cricut expression and I don't know if I like it or not. Does anyone else have a problem with trying to cut small things? I don't have design studio or anything and have been thinking about getting it but I don't know. I think I'm a bit scared of the machine. I made a quick card the other day with it and I'm pleased with the results. I don't know I think I just feel guilty knowing how much it cost and not using it very much.

Yes I have another blog lol. The other one was on a different email etc I was going to swap address's but as I had only put 2 posts what's the point!!!!

I went to my Ludgershall Crop on Saturday which is run my Julia at Stamping Ground (in my side bar). I had a fantastic day and managed to do loads. I covered a chipboard mini book, 1 double LO and 2 singles, I made a Halloween box and a french fry box.

This is one of the pages I completed. I got the sketch from Twisted sketches and all of the papers are My Minds Eye.
